'DOOKUDU' SHOCKED TOP BOLLYWOOD CRITICS

The mania that has struck Tollywood audience and the box office is ‘Dookudu’. Already, its power has touched new height with the famous Los Angeles Times newspaper mentioning about the film. Now, it is heard that ‘Dookudu’ is causing a shake at the Bollywood circuit, especially among the critics circles.

Reports from Mumbai reveal that the likes of Rajeev Masand, Taran Adarsh, Anupama Chopra etc are struck by the frenzy of ‘Dookudu’. They are also shocked as to how a film can generate so much following that even stars like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan are fighting for the remake rights.

It is heard that the critics have asked for a copy of ‘Dookudu’ to be watched and they want to analyze this. Whether it is really the content or simply a movie making skill, the fact remains that ‘Dookudu’ has caught the attention of cine folks in a big way.

SUPERSTAR'S 'DOOKUDU': SOON IN HINDI! - IBNLIVE

New Delhi: Mahesh Babu has met with the elusive success after five years in 'Dookudu'. The mega star of Telugu cinema has probably got the biggest hit of his life in 'Dookudu'.

Released across the globe, the film is smashing earlier box office records with ease. The stunner crossed Rs 9 crore limit on the very first day, which is by any standard a huge collection for a regional film.

Now, 'Dookudu' is anticipated to surpass the total collection of 2009 hit 'Magadheera', which is the biggest Telugu hit of all times.

Mahesh Babu, the style prince of Telugu cinema, was never out of race but he was definitely waiting for a revival.

The ultra macho man of south India had shown the glimpses of the type of star he was in making in his first film 'Raja Kumarudu' only. 'Yuvaraju', 'Vamsi', 'Murari' and 'Okkadu' consolidated his position in the industry.

Then came the film everybody was waiting for. 'Pokiri' by Puri Jagannadh wrote a whole new chapter in south Indian films' encyclopaedia.

Mahesh Babu was everywhere after 'Pokiri'. He started to sell soft drinks to hair oil.

Married to former Miss India and her co-star in 'Vamsi', Namrata Shirodkar, Babu was riding high on the success waves when the balloon got punctured.

Surprisingly, Babu's filmography became devoid of success for a long time after 'Pokiri', however he was known India wide till then.

A known face for Hindi cinema lovers, Prabhu Deva decided to remake 'Pokiri' in Hindi after its grand success. Recognising the great potential of churning out a blockbuster, Salman Khan readily agreed to play the lead role in Pokiri's remake 'Wanted'.

Next five years and four unsuccessful films strengthened his critics who were waiting for one or two more films before writing his box office obituary.

Now, the critics will have to wait for some time as 'Dookudu' is breaking records in India and overseas.

The film is a typical south Indian stylish drama, where Prakash Raj is a good natured politician for a change. He goes into coma due to some political treachery and his family moves to Mumbai as it feared fatal attacks on other family members too.

Mahesh Babu, who does not know the history, becomes a fearless police officer as expected and sets out on a mission to finish Nayak (Sonu Sood), who is the kingpin behind the drug trafficking racket.

The story then takes the ultra masculine hero to Istanbul where he plots a well crafted net to trap Nayak.

'Dooduku' has opened with mostly good reviews and doing well despite some logic defying sequences.

It's just a matter of time before some Hindi film producer acquires the right to remake it in Hindi with established Bollywood actors. If reports are to be believed then many are already in line to grab the rights.

Dookudu movie starring Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu is all set to release on September 23. This film’s first copy would be ready by 18th and the censor will be done on 19. There are sky high expectations on this film that it is going to have a record release in all areas. Nizam has been Mahesh’s forte for many years and this film is going to break all the records in terms of number of screens.

The first list of Dookudu Hyderabad (Nizam) theatres is released and unsurprisingly it consists of sixty screens. This number will certainly cross 75 looking at the trends. Then it would set a new record in Hyderabad by beating Orange which was released in 68 screens.

Dookudu is also expected to beat the record of Komaram Puli in Nizam. Puli hold the record of biggest release in this area. Mahesh’s Pokiri has set many records in Nizam, especially in Hyderabad which are still unbroken. Fans hope Dookudu to rewrite history.

MAHESH TO WATCH DOOKUDU IN THEATRE

It has became a hobby for the Super Star to watch the movie’s noon show in theatre since his first film Raja Kumarudu along with his father and veteran star Krishna. Except for khaleja he watched almost all his films in theatre on the first day.

Not only that, Mahesh will also feature in movie promotions in various channels on the same day. Co-producer: Ramesh Babu
Presenter: Krishna Productions Pvt Ltd.
Music Director : S Thaman
Producer : Achanta Gopichand, Achanta Ram & Anil Sunkara
Director : Sreenu Vaitla

Sreenu Vaitla has been the favourite of 14 Reels Entertainment, the banner which has decided to stick to him after their first film ‘Namo Venkatesa’ with him starring Venkatesh and Trisha. Out of around 15 movies by Sreenu Vaitla it’s very difficult to find a film that has not fetched atleast an average result. It is either he is lucky or his films are with a specialty focusing on entertainment and action. Mahesh Babu has spared with Srinu Vaitla for the first time and there seems to be certain emotional cord between these two with Mahesh Babu openly declaring his gratitude for Srinu Vaitla's doing this film titled 'Dookudu'.

As regards this story it’s about a youth who has his two feet firmly on the ground looking for practical solutions, long term in nature. Due to his focus and capability he achieves what he wants and at the same time his easy going nature would set an example for present generation.
For Mahesh, the style and looks are in-built and not to say of actions. This character is rightly designed for him which is further glorified with the presence of Samantha and Dr Brahmanandam. Of course Srinu Vaitla’s movie making style will add the necessary ingredients to portray Mahesh’s true value. Srinu Vaitla’s style of having Brahmu’s presence in each and every frame alongside the hero seems to be repeating in this film also. Is he by any chance the lucky mascot?

‘Ye Maya Chesave’ and ‘Brindavanam’ have brought out the best from a new comer Samantha. She has mesmerized the audience with her best performance which is found to be natural. Though looking like a girl next door some attraction separates her from the rest. Her pairing with Mahesh is been seen as a good combination.

Mahesh Babu’s movies are known for high quality cinematography. This time the unit has chosen K V Guhan who did already worked in Mahesh’s movies like ‘Naani’ and ‘Athadu’.

Now coming to locations though Hyderabad has played a major part, Mumbai, Dubai, Istanbul and Switzerland have also contributed significantly with picturesque locations. Particularly Switzerland has been chosen for songs while other locations for actions. This apart the special attraction of the film is an item song by Parvathy Melton.

The upcoming music director Thaman, who has churned out good results in the movies starring Ravi Teja, NTR, Nagarjuna, Ram, etc., has for the first time signed Sreenu Vaitla’s film. Even with Mahesh, this is his first attempt. Thaman has a very special style in giving beat songs attracting masses. He has already given his print through title song which is rocking.

Mahesh Babu has been searching for a success formula after his blockbuster ‘Pokiri’. Since he took a decision to do less number of films with an intention to maintain quality, the opportunity to churn out more number of films also could not materialize. Thus after ‘Pokiri’ whatever he had done have not achieved the desired results. Now with ‘Dookudu’ with a tagline 'Daring and Dashing', there is a strong expectation that he might make it big like ‘Pokiri’. The movie releasing on September 23rd is expected to hit theaters worldwide much to the expectations of Krishna’s and Mahesh Babu’s fans.
