If a leading English daily is to be believed Mahesh will soon be the Shah Rukh of the South as far as brand endorsements are concerned. Mahesh has been bracketed as a star whose popularity is intact despite the highs and lows of his box office status – which in any case has touched an all time high in the past two weeks.
Unlike many of his Tollywood counterparts who endorse soft drinks or local jewellers at regional level, Mahesh will in all probability be endorsing premium watch brands and even a luxury automobile for the entire southern region. At this stage though the names are strictly under wraps as the discussions are yet to be finalised.
Currently 4 major national brands are evincing interest in Mahesh’s star power. Incredible as it may sound, the report in the daily states that his fan base apparently extends from the 5 to 50 years age group
